Our legacy
That's where it started. Here's where we are.
John Sr. grew up around trucks. His father owned three trucks hauling chickens out of Jasper, Alabama. In 1968, he started in the industry on the docks of Overnite Transportation.
After 22 years and 5 states, the family settled in Memphis. John Sr. left Overnite in 1987 and took a president role at a Memphis truckload company for the next five years.
With little money and a lot of ambition, John Sr. founded JNJ Express as a spotting and shuttling service. Memphis to anywhere — that was the pitch.
JNJ went over-the-road. The shuttle and spotting business stayed — and is still active — but the fleet grew. Late-model International LTs, hazmat certification, customers who keep coming back.
JNJ invested in turning a former Memphis shopping mall into a new headquarters — purpose-built for the way a modern trucking company actually runs. Dispatch, maintenance, orientation, recruiting all under one roof at 3935 Old Getwell Rd.
34 years family-owned. 400+ trucks. Moving freight for Amazon, Walmart, FedEx, and UPS. Drivers who've been here 20, 24, 28 years. 2,850 miles/wk fleet average. Still headquartered in Memphis. Still family.

Real family. Owners you talk to. Drivers we keep.

Just-in-time. Hazmat certified. We do what we say.

To drivers, to customers, to doing it right.
